I asked for a guitar for my birthday, and I got one. Thing is, I do not know how to play it. I have zero skills in the guitar, don’t know any of the chords, but do have capo, picks, etc. Should I take guitar lessons from a professional, or should I teach myself from a book or the internet? Ive decided to get guitar lessons, and if you read my other question- ” Is playing the guitar easy? ” then the details and info aren’t really needed. Im 13 years old, about 4’7 and like something light brown. Since im new to this, any suggestions? Im not pro, and I don’t know what im looking for, for specific terms or something. Like “make sure the strings..blah or make sure the neck of the guitar is long.. blah blah. Just suggestions or anything.

How much should I charge to give guitar lessons?

I am a high school student and I have been playing the guitar for about a year and I am pretty good at it. My neighbors down the street want to know how much I will charge to give their daughter lessons. I have never had lessons myself, but I know alot from online videos, music books, ect. And how long should they be for?

I’ve been learning guitar recently. Starting off with basic chords and strumming with my thumb. Now, I feel like it is cooler to be able to pick up a guitar and play. Should I learn the finger-picking style soon? Or is that advanced?
What is good about using a pick?
