You talk about hurting after 10 minutes of playing when I press them down enough to get the right sound it hurts instantly and gets worse with time, but its getting a bit better + my fingers are getting stronger and stuff, it seems impossible when you start but if you stick with it and practice
June 1, 2010 - 3:10 pm
I think this guitar is out of tune
June 1, 2010 - 3:17 pm
@axel5735 Now im green with envy…sax player eh…nice…love the sound of the saxophone.
Good to hear you have stuck with it,and yeah it gets easier and easier the more you practice, eventually it will become second nature to play chords and your fingers will just know where to go .
well done you..

@cappucinokid100 Thanks for the advice! I’m doing better now since I’ve practiced for an hour almost every day and now I’m even learning how to play Let It Be by the Beatles. My hands are developed so I can practice for hours before it’s painful and I my fingers aren’t touching the other touching the other strings nearly as much. Even though it is hard to pick up a new instrument after 5 years of saxophone this is pretty easy! =]
June 1, 2010 - 6:09 pm
@axel5735 That will pass with time, also try some warm-up exercises,ie flex your fingers and get the circulation going in them.Everyone who has ever learned the guitar have had those painful experiences my friend.i promise you it will pass eventually, keep at it…and good luck

very helpful thanx :]
June 1, 2010 - 6:22 pm
@Shiroshi0 that happened to me too but when u practice enough it works. trust me. the very same thing happened to me but now it never happens
June 1, 2010 - 7:03 pm
Comment: Why dont we always see the fret with red dots AND the hand on frets the same direction..when we play we dont look at the guitar from the otherside..we look DOWN onto it. that shoud be the same way illustrations AND fret/hand video shows it. Just a little thing, especially for us visual learners….you know what I mean? RIck/vancouver
June 1, 2010 - 7:39 pm
@vstrum23 no its not
June 1, 2010 - 7:49 pm
oh dear… I thought C was difficult already. Then F completely blew me away. aw man =(
June 1, 2010 - 8:39 pm
@partytilllatenight -I’m no expert, but I bet it’s just another way to place the fingers on the same fret positions.
June 1, 2010 - 9:20 pm
@mimosastar705 I have seen little kids like 5 yrs old with littler hands then me playing a big guitar . I have TINY hands and I thought I couldnt do it . But I eventually did lol just took ALOT of time and practice . Just be dedicated
June 1, 2010 - 10:10 pm
@Shiroshi0 I’m having the same problem… Plus my fingers ache after only about 10 minutes of playing…
June 1, 2010 - 11:03 pm
i like guitar
June 1, 2010 - 11:25 pm
I feel like my fingers are too thick to play guitar… no matter how harshly I curve them, or how central I try to keep my fingers on the strings, they always accidentally mute the other strings and press down on areas they shouldn’t be at… T_T
June 1, 2010 - 11:29 pm

June 2, 2010 - 2:17 am
