October 29, 2011 - 11:38 pm
@SoloAK88 I recently upgraded to Raw Vintage springs, which allows me to use all 5 springs, AND use the whammy bar more easily.
October 29, 2011 - 11:58 pm
How many tremolo springs do you use? (with the 11-49 strings)
October 30, 2011 - 12:52 am

October 30, 2011 - 1:27 am
@CRAIGARRR get tuxguitar, its free and does just about everything gp does… another program that is free, audacity, u would wanna get if youre gonna wanting to lay down some o’ the old original action or if you need help learning somethin you can import any track and change the tempo and seperate channels to learn your favorite music the right way if your ear isnt developed yet;but even then your helpin the development little by little and learnin correctly?
October 30, 2011 - 1:45 am
Nice lesson thank you.
What are some good songs to start learning by ear which isn’t too difficult for a beginner?
October 30, 2011 - 1:46 am
@JarglemyYarbles Guitar Pro works great..
( not free though..
October 30, 2011 - 2:37 am
I learned the same exact way, back in the days of vinyl vs. CD. Stand there and play over and over and over to AC/DC. As Anthony says, it’s important to link your licks, rather than doing one part and moving on to the next, without linking the first with the second, etc.
October 30, 2011 - 2:46 am
nice guitar lesson
October 30, 2011 - 3:32 am
Love all your videos Anthony!
GOD bless you in all you do!!!!

@JarglemyYarbles Windows Media Player has one build in.
Click View > Enhancements > Show Enhancements > Play Speed Settings … done.
October 30, 2011 - 4:08 am
@JarglemyYarbles
“Audacity” free software is good for slowdown.
load an mp3, I trim the track leaving only the small phrase U want to learn. Highlight it, go to “analyze”, “Change tempo”, reduce the slider. Usually -20 to -15 range is a great starting point.
Now you have a perfectly slowed down track of just the part you want. To play it as a loop for practice. hold “shift key” as you hit “play.” Practice till perfect. i also save (use NEW filename) & load into my ipod and play on repeat too.
October 30, 2011 - 4:23 am
@gijszaalberg
Becasue it’s a SRV Signature, SRV had his whammy bar on top
October 30, 2011 - 4:59 am
@JarglemyYarbles Oh and I forgot to mention, my teacher always says “when you can, it’s better to use your ears than your eyes”
October 30, 2011 - 5:27 am
@JarglemyYarbles There is a simple way of slowing down a video without changing the pitch, the last version of the VLC player (which is free) can do that, google it
It’s very useful because you can actually take footage from the original artist and break it down. I Hope it’ll help.
October 30, 2011 - 5:46 am
Yes, i got to watch it on a saturday for free…. God bless you Youtube >:D
October 30, 2011 - 6:07 am
@gaddallmighty
it’s a stevie ray vaughn signature, that one has it on the top of bridge, don’t ask me why;)
October 30, 2011 - 6:55 am
Thanks, this is a very sensable method.
It looks like your wang bar is at the top of the bridge, I’m used to seeing them on the bottom on strats, is it a custom setup?
October 30, 2011 - 7:27 am
The Best One Is A Program Called “Transcribe!” Slows down the song without changing the pitch.
October 30, 2011 - 8:21 am
I ruined all my LP`s as a kid by constantly lifting and replacing the stylus to learn sections of a song.
That was back in the day when guitarists were real men!
