You know, you never can make for a one-on-one lessons type approach. However in my experience as a self-taught guitar-player for 3 years (had lessons for two years before) there are several quality online guitar lesson services. The only downside is your might have to pay a little bit.. but you know you get what you put in to this sorta thing.
One of the best quality lesson services out there is the guitar super stars system(cheezy name i know) any way its gonna cost some dollars but its pretty cheep when compared to standard one on one weekly lessons. heres the link if you wanna check it out http://f4a32ieebwdq8vf212461q8pgw.hop.clickbank.net/” target=”_top
another one thats a little less expensive.. sort of a blues tips and tricks type of thing. still, very helpful to become a good player the link is http://08038he801kqbq6epwb2ugnode.hop.clickbank.net/” target=”_top

Youtube lessons can get frustrating in my opinion. This DVD is very easy to follow and the Rock House series in general is a great deal. You can get the beginners only DVD for $18 or the 3 DVD set (beginner, intermediate and advanced) for $40. Great DVD’s. These are for electric but they offer acoustic also.

Even though I have to admit I am a little biased in my recommendation, I think it’s the best one. I’ve spent several years developing just what you’re talking about. I teach step by step instruction and have 4 series, including of course a beginner series. I also update the site with a new video lesson every single week. You can check it out for yourself and see what you think. All of my users so far have been happy users, and most of them are beginners. Let me know if you have questions.
