Learn To Play Guitar
What brand of guitar sells really good, cheap baby acoustic guitars?
I want a baby guitar. I noticed Taylor Guitars sells them for around 400. But I don’t have enough money. What other manufacturer makes good baby guitars?

Taylor makes a smaller 3/4 size guitar that they call a “Baby Taylor”. But other guitar companies don’t use that terminology. Most other 3/4 size guitars are referred to as “student” guitars.
In my experience, most other brands of 3/4 size guitars aren’t all that good. Squier (Fender’s budget priced line of guitars), Daisy Rock, Oscar Schmidt, and Washburn all make 3/4 size guitars that can be found for $200 or less, but I can’t attest to the quality, sound or playability of any of them.
OTOH, I have played and heard the Baby Taylors and they are really good, especially for only $400. Martin Guitars also makes a small guitar model called the LX1, which lists for around $400-425 but you might be able to find it a bit cheaper. Martin is one of the top guitar manufacturers out there, so you can’t go wrong with one of those either.
If I were you, I’d wait, save up my money and get either the Baby Taylor or the Martin LX1.

If you want a real good sounding, smaller scale guitar, then check out Luna Guitars.
We tested about 50 of them and the sound projection, finish and quality was surprising . They are inexpensive and specially made for those who prefer a smaller guitars, want a big sound, and a guitar with a special finish.

Don’t kid yourself, this is not a toy. it is a real guitar.

Ibanez has a great 3/4 guitar called the Daytripper. There’s a Daytripper acoustic/electric model on the market, but it’s not as nice as the acoustic version. I tried both the Baby Taylor and the Little Martin and they were nice, but the Ibanez Daytripper played beautifully and seemed to throw more sound than the others. And it cost less than $200. I did some online research before buying and reviewers were universal in their praise for it. Mine stays in tune, plays like a dream and sounds as good as a full-size guitar. My dreadnought used to be my primary guitar, but now I find myself playing the Daytripper every day.
Though the Daytripper isn’t available in most music stores, since it has been discountinued, you can still find it on eBay. It’s worth a look, since Ibanez makes fantastic instruments that are priced much lower than the prestige brands. Here’s a link to the eBay listings:

C.F. Martin makes a wonderful baby guitar that is about $250. While it is priced similar to a full sized Ibanez or Yamaha acoustic guitar, the sound is richer and crisp that is to be expected in a good guitar. Martins and Taylors make quality guitars therefore when you see the mini Martin or baby Taylor, you know that your getting more of a guitar instead of a student’s learner’s guitar for kids or beginners and such. I have seen this Mini Martin in a couple of Guitar Centers that I have gone to.
