Learn To Play Guitar
What are some easy songs to play on the guitar?
Ok, so about 10 years ago I took some guitar lessons, know most chords and stuff but never got very good. Just recently bought an acoustic guitar and want to get back into it. I was wondering what some easy songs would be to play. To give you an idea of the type of music I like I like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, G Love, Taj Mahal, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Charlie Daniles, etc.
Ok, I know there’s all these websites with tab or the chords under the lyrics, this doesn’t really tell you anything though. Do any sites also offer any help on strumming patterns?
All these answers suck. To the guy who says all are easy with practice, you have to learn the song to be able to practice and I need help practicing and getting down strumming patterns.

You need to master the power chord. You can play lots of songs once you can do those. Download the tabs to Jack Johnson songs and some of those others and play along with the music. This is what I do and it seems to help me. Try to find a song with some basic easy chords like a G, D, A progression. When you can play songs like that easily it’s time to move on to harder stuff.
You know, I was trying to be nice and help. You don’t need to tell me my answer sucks. You will never get better without a positive attitude!
