Learn To Play Guitar
How much do you think guitar lessons are worth?
I am an advanced guitarist of 11 years and have taught multiple people how to play the guitar and have been payed for the lessons I gave. (40$ a month) once or twice weekly per person. Is that fair? Unfair?
As a side note: in my opinion I am an excellent musician and a great teacher, and I have been told that by everyone I have taught. So accordingly, rate the price of my guitar lessons based on any given teacher with advanced musical knowledge

You’re undercharging. $20 to $40 per lesson would not be too much if you’re a good teacher.

Being somebody seeking tuition, I do see that your price is a lot cheaper than most other teachers, but, that would mean you’d be a very popular tutor with a large number of students / customers. It’s all about striking a balance between many students paying little or few students paying a lot

You are undercharging. The going rates are usually between $15 and $50 per half hour depending on how good you are and what you feel comfortable charging. I don’t do lessons for less than $20 per half hour and most of my students are at $25. Also, change your price based on where you teach the lessons, if the student comes to you charge less, if you go to them charge more.

I have worked with exceptional teachers and none charged more than $20 per half hour. I am in NC not NYC, but still… So are you saying a person gets one or two lessons per month for $40? @ 30 minute lessons for $40 is pretty normal, one is not.

Guitar lessons are priceless… but most people are only willing to pay $20 to $45 per session. Sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes.
