i got an acoustic guitar and i don’t have one clue on how to play it! so please HELP!

first, just try getting used to the sound and move your fingers around.

videos help a lot. go to www.expertvillage.com and youtube.com for online guitar lessons video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dSp79TDWoc this is the first video in the guys series. the next videos will always be in the video response. this series will help if your a complete beginner.

you may also want to learn chords. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lcmb4RplClQ that is a great video that will help you learn chords. has a few basic chords.

also, scales are important. also songs. you would need to go to www.ultimate-guitar.com , but you would need to learn how to read tabs which can be found in this website. http://guitar.about.com/library/blhowtoreadtab.htm after you learn, type in a song you like, and it will give you tabs for it. also, in ultiamte guitar, they have lessons, so that might help.

those are good sites to learn, however, the best way to learn is from a teacher, or by another person. lessons cost around 15 dollars per half hour. if your lucky you can find a frined that plays and they can teach you. otherwise, those sites are pretty good.
