@kenjikent To play in the “Key of A” means that most of the notes and chords that you are using are part of, or sound good with, the notes and chords that come from the A Scale, esp. the A note/chord itself. Typically it means that the song begins and ends on an A note or an A chord. To be honest, the definition is not cut and dry. It just gives you and other musicians a good idea of what notes and chords will sound “best” while playing the song. Now let’s hope I explained that correctly xD

@kenjikent It means, when in the KEY of A you start on an A note, when in D you start on the note D, it’s pretty easy
You’ll get it eventually, just keep on practising [:

Thankfully you said “i think your lead guitar is only ever going to be as good as your rhythm playing.” I have an incredibly hard time playing rhythm (why I’m watching this video) but i can make the blues scale bleed profusely from my fingers. Metallicas Kirk Hammett once said in interview ” I dont know how James does it, i could never do that (rhythm guitar).” They are two completely different styles of playing and both take serious time and dedication to learn.
