Great stuff, as usual! Got a question…I’m putting a set of Texas Specials in my Strat and I wondered what kind of strings you use?

July 9, 2010 - 10:29 pm
Thx again Anthony. Thank you for making better players out of all of us.
July 9, 2010 - 11:00 pm
Thanks, Anthony. I’ve been riffing out blues licks/leads at home practice for years, and would usually just switch the scale to match the key of the 4 and 5 chords, but mixing in resolve on the 4 and 5 notes in the root 1 pentatonic is something I’ve overlooked, or never did intentionally. Sometimes I’d land on them and say, “Damn, that sounds sweet!” but was never conscious of what I did. This will add some sugar to my playing for sure. Using the Major 3rd with bends or hammers is always nice 2

I have really liked this lesson and the missing bend lesson. More stuff along these lines, small things to improve playing by a lot, are awesome. Thanks always.

Excellent advice, thank you! I’ve been just recently starting to learn Blues licks, and it’s been a hassle trying to put them together. This makes more sense of the process. So again, thank you
Hope the heat isn’t getting to you in central PA, btw
