The following free guitar lessons have been created with the beginner in mind. It is suggested that new guitarists begin at lesson one, spending at least one week learning the exercises and songs in that lesson before moving on. This is the 2nd book my 14 year old daughter has used. The first book was boring and didn’t hold her attention, therefore, it never got used. She put away the guitar but receintly started showing an interest again. I read the reviews and ordered this book/cd set. What a hit! She loves it. It’s fun, easy to follow, and she really likes doing the lessons. Thanks for all the great info and review help.

I got this for my husband who has never played in his life and he quickly picked it up. It actually works. Great variety of options for learning styles. And the songs are actually ones most people would know and be able to sing along.

I really like this book and DVD. Since I am a beginning guitar player, the lessons are easy to understand and follow. I truly am learning a lot about how to play the different chords, how to transition between chords, etc. I like the fact that I can read the book and use the DVD to re-emphasize what I read.. Also, I can always replay a particular lesson if I need to refer back to something. For a beginner, I think this book and DVD is a great place to start.

Got this DVD so my 7yr old can learn to play the guitar during summer vacation. The instructions are clear and precise. A very calm and talented instructor. This is a DVD for beginners. I am certain this would be helpful for us.
