youtube is a good site for plenty of diffrent lessons and if you could read tablature you should try http://www.ultimate-guitar.com. and a little advice is if you start these lessons dont stop no matter how hard it is and you will get better.

E-Chords.com is a good place to start if you are only interested to learn from the net.
It would be better if you can find a friend to at least help you with learning how to tune a guitar or how to use a tuner. They are pretty cheap (I mean the tuner). Nothing will sound right if your guitar is out of tune.
Getting together with people who play is the best way to learn. Even if you are only watching, you will enjoy every minute and learn something in the process.
It’s hard in the beginning, but hang in there. You will get it and before you know it…… your fingers will stop hurting!
